Hidden amongst residential homes, Ghaf was founded in 2006 as the first independent gallery for contemporary art in Abu Dhabi. Ghaf Art Gallery hosts regular exhibitions from local and international artists – from painters, sculptors and visual artists, and you can also make a purchase if the mood strikes. This gallery extends on two spacious floors and showcases a wide range of different pieces. Of recent times, Emirati artist, curator and boutique owner Sumayyah Al Suwaidi collected pieces of nearly 30 artists for the sixth Ramadan Art Bazaar, a show including paintings, photography, traditional and innovative art medias, all priced down in line with the spirit of generosity characteristic of the Holy month.
