If you’re a fan of Iranian cuisine, then Shabestan is the restaurant that should be top of your list.

Opening in 1985, Shabestan at Radisson Blu Dubai Deira Creek is recognised for its authentic Persian cuisine based on beloved family recipes passed down through three generations, and only available at this location.

The restaurant has been visited by loyal customers for almost 40 years and has welcomed many prestigious guests in that time. Famed for its authenticity and beautiful views of the creek, the award-winning restaurant is a must for anyone looking to try the best of Iranian cuisine. Describing itself as the original and best, the restaurant was the first Shabestan to open in the city and the only one to serve up its famed recipes.

The recipe is a well-guarded secret. When Shabestan’s former head chef, Shirazi retired, he passed on his secrets to his only son, Abol Fazi, who currently heads the culinary team at the restaurant.

And under his direction, Shabestan has now been included in the inaugural Michelin Guide Dubai under the Bib Gourmand Category. Selected as one of 14, the restaurant is the oldest in the city to be featured. The category shines a spotlight on restaurants that offer a value-for-money gourmet experience for an average price of 250 AED for a three-course meal.
